Watchmaker's Workbench helps UK hobbyists plan a bench, choose tools for a specific job and compare published watch movement specifications. Our approach is patient bench notes: clear tables, links to original documentation and explicit limits where a drawing does not answer a compatibility question.
How we work
We use movement makers' own specification sheets for the movement database. Each published row records its source and the date we checked it. A missing value remains unstated; it is not filled from an unverified seller listing. Matching dimensions are not a guarantee that components work together.
We haven't tested these products. Our guides describe selection criteria and published information, rather than personal product testing or professional repair services. Opening a watch can affect its warranty and water resistance. Obtain professional help where the task or equipment is beyond your experience.
Funding and ownership
Some shopping links are affiliate links, identified with an Ad label. We may earn commission when you buy through them. Read our affiliate disclosure. Payment does not establish a product's suitability for your watch.
Watchmaker's Workbench is part of a group of sites under shared ownership, including Lindenmaker and Plankley. Links to those sites, if included, are editorially relevant and do not imply independent ownership.
