Watchmaker's Workbench uses personal information to operate this website and answer enquiries. Contact webmaster.jarvis@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.
Messages
If you email us or use an enabled contact form, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, subject and message. We use them to respond and handle your enquiry, relying on legitimate interests in providing that response and operating the site. Do not include sensitive personal information.
Our retention policy is to keep ordinary contact correspondence for up to 12 months after the enquiry closes, unless a longer period is necessary for a legal obligation or dispute.
Hosting and spam prevention
Cloudflare hosts the site and processes technical request information on our behalf to deliver and protect it. When the contact form is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated submissions; the form also checks its fields and a spam trap before forwarding a valid message through our mailer service. Email is handled by the mailbox provider. These providers may process information outside the UK subject to their applicable safeguards and terms.
Tools and device storage
The movement tools run in your browser. Their selections are not submitted to us or saved by the tools. Basic requests for pages and assets still reach the hosting service. Read the cookie and storage notice for consent-preference storage and the status of optional analytics.
Your choices
You may ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection concerning your personal information. The rights available depend on the circumstances. Send requests to webmaster.jarvis@gmail.com; we may need enough information to confirm your identity. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Other websites
Shopping and source links lead to independent websites with their own privacy practices. Affiliate retailers may identify referrals after you follow a link. We do not receive your payment details from those links.
